

He was so excited when the Warriors won the championship and that gave us a blessing of seeing him smile throughout the day when he was ill. He was an avid sports enthusiast where he was known to be a high caliber baseball player during his younger years and also a fan of basketball where you can bet that he would catch the Warriors game on TV and supplement it with replay views of the highlights on YouTube, especially if the Warriors bring home the W. His daughter Romillie and family would accompany him and Milagros to various European cities where his favorite part was to discover the local sights, flavors and cuisine. He loved travelling and his favorite destinations happen to be in Europe.

His life was centered around his family and spent his days driving his grandchildren to school when they were still young, gardening and raising his favorite tomatoes, lemon and red pepper.īeing a doting grandfather is Roland’s cherished title to his 5 grandchildren – Romille, Daniella, Myck, Moryll and Chadric. to join their daughters Mia Myroll and her family and Celine. In 2009, he and his beloved wife Milagros moved to the U.S. People fondly call him “chairman” to this day.

Prior to his retirement, he served his community as a Barangay Chairman where he showed his leadership and deep commitment to his constituents. Being a business minded person, he ventured to being an entrepreneur and was involved in the trucking industry, construction, and lending business. His first stint was in a banking institution and later moved to an educational institution where he served as a personnel manager.

Roland was blessed with 4 daughters – Romillie, Mia Myroll, Myla Rose (†) and Celine.īorn and raised in the Philippines, Roland at an early age started to be self-supporting and earned his Bachelor of Science with a major in accounting degree at the Philippine College of Commerce and even earned some MBA units.
